Enjoy July 4 freebies in Asheville

  • Spread a blanket at the finger-pickin’ goodness of Shindig on the Green, the summertime bluegrass and mountain music series downtown on Saturday, July 3
  • Be in the wowed crowd to see fireworks and enjoy other festivities at Asheville’s July 4 celebration downtown 
  • Hike, bike or cruise along the Blue Ridge Parkway, two minutes from Lovers’ Loop Retreat
  • Take a stroll under the trees at Asheville’s Riverside Cemetery, a destination in itself, where notables including authors Thomas Wolfe and O. Henry and others are buried.
